There’s no diet during the holidays, before the holidays most people are hitting the gym eating healthy but when the holidays are around the corner. People drop everything and forget their diet.  On TV, companies promote their product how to lose weight like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. These products still don’t stop the people from having a delicious dinner during the holidays. This usually depends on one’s self-determination; they say that they’re going to lose weight but end up not doing anything. When this happens, depression hits and people see that and don’t have faith on the company brand names to achieve their goals.

If you think about it’s mostly women that want to lose weight after the holidays which is a positive way to look at themselves. Not many men worry about their appearance, they could care less. Gaining weight is easy but losing the weight is a challenge. Many people commit to achieving the goal but convince themselves that they look fine the way they look.  Therefore, they stop working out and just start gaining more weight slowly.  Putting more weight on their body from the holidays is a big deal for most people think that gaining weight during the holidays is nothing so when the holidays are over they forget about their daily routine and start eating like they use to eat during the holidays putting more weight. Manuel Rivas stated, “Before winter break was here I was in shape then the holidays came and I forgot about my daily routine and start eating more then I was used to gaining 10 pounds.”

A lot of people during the break lost weight stayed in shape, a good time to work out and show that it is possible to stay in shape during that break and that eating right. Jonathan Hernandez is one of the people that stayed in shape during winter break. “Staying in shape during the holidays was hard because waking up early was hard at points I didn’t want to get up out of bed, but I had to because I was determined to lose weight and get my abs back in shape before school starts.”  Staying In shape is hard but people persevere to achieve to stay fit like people from mission bay and more people who play sports.

In a lot of cases people lose and gain more weight during the holidays it’s a 85% chance that people have the chances to gain weight more in the holidays than any other days. Everyone will make their own decision according to their appearance as well as their self-steem that goes along with it.
