With all the kooks making it the music industry today, it could be hard to standout in the cluster and not be overlooked in the crowd and not be seen as just some talentless hoodlum who performs with the assistants of narcotics and a recording system; in fact, Sean doesn’t partake in those acts while making his music, nor is it something he obsessively raps about.
Sean J. Walker, a junior and first year Buccaneer made his music debut a year ago after he moved from Arkansas to Oklahoma to San Diego. “Nobody wanted anything to do with me,” Walker joked. Sean decided to make music because he wanted to be productive, “Music is what I’m good at, it’s most important,” he explained. For Sean, music is another way of art, “There are no boundaries, you can say what you want and there is no one to tell you what you can and can’t say or do.”
Sean gets his inspiration from a variety of music genre including pop punk and music he grew up listening to, but, he considers himself as an undefined artist. Using just his computer and personal microphone, Walkers recording studio lies in his room where he currently records all his tracks. Though Sean remains modest about his art, “I don’t expect to get signed,” he guessed. In the meantime, Walker plans to continue making music for the fun of it, “I want to bring realness and soul to music.”
Constantly focused on his music, Walker is currently considering putting out a mixed tape featuring tracks he’s been working on, has yet to release, and some of his more popular tracks that he’s released throughout his music career. If Sean was given the opportunity to perform with any artist, he mentioned “I’d want to perform with T-Mills and Rich Hill because Rich Hill makes soulful music about real life stuff and that’s what I’m trying to do and T-Mills brings out the more fun, party life to music.”
Sean J. Walker’s music could be found on his Facebook under Sean Walker as well his YouTube page under Sean J Walker and reverbnation.com also under Sean J Walker. His fans consider his music to be “genius.” Sean also wanted to take the time to add that he is thankful to all the fans and anyone who takes time to listen to his music.
