Neighborhoods

Blink 182 has recently made a new astonishing album called “Neighborhoods”. This new album has got many fans excited of their new music that was obtained. The album was released in the early fall of September 27, 2011. After their recent album “Greatest Hits” that was established in November 1st, 2005 many fans were stunned of their music that was featured in that album that got into MTV. Many fans were also waiting for a new album for a few years now before Neighborhoods was released. “Neighborhoods” labeled Interscope Records features 14 awesome new tracks. The song “Up All Night” was the most popular song in the album of “Neighborhoods” and was featured as one of MTV’s music videos.

The amazing band of Blink 182 was formed by Tom Delonge in 1992 in the great city of Poway, California. By 1993, they had recorded their first demo tapes, leading to them to signing with Cargo Records in 1994. This punk/pop band soon got really big after it was created, because their music is the type of music many people were engaged with.  Tom Delonge, as the band’s Vocals/Guitar, Mark Hoppus, as Vocals/Bass, and one of the best drummers in the world, Travis Barker as the band’s drummer.

One of Blink 182’s new, amazing, touching songs, “Up All Night” with the lyrics down below has a very great meaning that expresses the feelings of the band. The lyrical meaning of the song emphasizes the bad, depressing days we has human beings go through. Everyone has to deal with their demons and struggles in life, and you don’t have to let it fault you because, everyone goes through it too. “Let’s get it straight, do you want me here?” The song sounds depressing at first, but somehow shows a sign of faith throughout the song as you listen. It exposes negativity in the song, but also some positivity. “Everyone falls and spins and gets up again with a friend who does the same.”

In conclusion the song as a theme, everyone has their bad stressful times that we all deal with problems, but we will never quit and will soon recover together with a friend. It’s basically about life and that we are not alone.

In review, the new Blink 182 album is much better and more sophisticated than the old Blink that everybody’s been waiting for. It’s a logical step forward for the band which makes them more unique and stronger than ever.

“Up All Night”
[Verse 1:]
Everyone wants to call it, all around our life with a better name.
Everyone falls and spins and gets up again with a friend who does the same.
Everyone lies and cheats their wants and needs and still believes their heart.
And everyone gets the chills the kind that kills, when the pain begins to start.

[Chorus:]
Did I get this straight, do you want me here?
As I struggle through each and every year.
And all these demons, they keep me up all night.
They keep me up all night [x2]

[Verse 2:]
Everyone’s cross to bears the crown they wear on endless holiday.
Everyone raises kids in a world that changes life to a bitter game.
Everyone works and fights stays up all night to sell the perfect day.
And everyone lives to tell the tale of how we die alone some day.

[Chorus:]
Did I get this straight, do you want me here?
As I struggle through each and every year.
And all these demons, they keep me up all night.
They keep me up all night [x3]
They keep me up all…
